Wolverhampton Steps Up to Help Jamaica After Crisis

The situation in Jamaica is tough right now, and the Wolverhampton community is pulling together to offer help. The Heritage Centre in Whitmore Reans is now a donation spot where you can drop off items to support families hit hard by recent events there.

Donation Details

Where: The Heritage Centre, Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton, WV6 0AA
When: Friday – Monday | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Locals can bring supplies during these times to aid the relief work.

What's Needed

They really need these items:

*   Batteries
*   Bedding foam
*   Cots
*   Flashlights
*   Lanterns
*   Pillowcases & pillows
*   Buckets with lids
*   Collapsible water containers

These things will give comfort, safety, and basic stuff to people who had to leave their homes or were badly affected.

Why This Matters

Lots of families in Jamaica are dealing with loss and don't have enough basic supplies. When bad things like this happen, things like clean water and a safe place to stay are super important.

This shows what can happen when people come together. Wolverhampton has strong ties to the Caribbean, with many locals having Jamaican roots. Helping out isn't just kind; it's a way for the community to stand by their friends and family overseas.

The Heritage Centre is doing its part to help the community and preserve culture. By being a collection point, they're turning good intentions into real help for those who need it.

How You Can Help

Every bit helps! Whether it's a flashlight, some bedding, or a water container, please give what you can. Together, Wolverhampton can really make a difference in Jamaica's recovery.

If you want to know more or volunteer, drop by The Heritage Centre in Whitmore Reans during the drop-off times.
