In honour of Black History Month, Wolverhampton City Archives will also present a special exhibition. Standing Firm in Power and Pride celebrates the resilience, achievements, and cultural contributions of Black communities throughout Wolverhampton’s history, offering visitors a chance to reflect on stories that have shaped the city’s identity.

Councillor Jeszemma Howl, Cabinet Member for Governance and Digital, said: "The Local History Fair is a chance for people of all ages to come together to explore the past, connect with local heritage groups, and discover the stories that make Wolverhampton such a vibrant and historically rich place. Whether you're a seasoned researcher, a student of history, or simply curious about our city’s past, please come along and find out more."

The Local History Fair takes place on Saturday 11 October and will be open from 10am to 4pm. Admission is £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. The Friends of the Archives will be on hand throughout the day, offering homemade cakes and refreshments for a small charge as part of their fundraising efforts.
